Women’s Room is a feminist non-governmental non-profit organization working on raising awareness of women, institutions and public about sexuality of women and sexual rights through education, research and public work. Women’s Room was founded in November 2002 by long-term activists working in the fields of women’s rights, LGBT rights, sexual violence, and women’s sexuality. Fields of work:
- sexual violence
- gender and sexual minorities
- trafficking and prostitution
- women’s sexuality
So far, our work has been mostly focused on providing education and capacity building for non-governmental organizations and governmental institutions, creating support mechanisms, and referral networks for issues covering sexual violence, women’s sexuality, sexual and gender minorities, and sexual rights. One of the important aspects of our work has been producing theoretical knowledge about these issues, as we believe it is crucial for development of efficient practices.

CESI is a feminist non-governmental non-profit organization working on the advancement of the social status of women for the purpose of achieving gender equality. CESI was founded on March 8 th 1997 by activists and members of women’s and peace initiatives. In the last eight years our activities were mostly conducted within three programs:
- Building Gender Awareness
- Education and Support of Women’s and Other Civil Initiatives
- Women’s Human Rights
Our programs are largely developed and implemented through the combination of research activities, education and information, advocacy and public policy work, and publishing. Our beneficiaries include women, adolescents, secondary school teachers and students, union members, and representatives of non-governmental organizations and governmental institutions. Currently, our projects deal with the prevention of teen dating violence, and gender mainstreaming.
Organization Q for Promotion and Protection of Culture, Identities, and Human Rights of Queer Persons is an LGBTIQ organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina .
Organization Q is dedicated to protection of human rights of sexual and gender minorities, as well as to empowerment, development, and public visibility of queer identity and culture. We are dedicated to addressing and working on issues regarding human rights violations, discrimination, and inequality based on sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, and (inter)sex characteristics.
Our long term goal is to raise awareness regarding human sexuality and gender diversity outside of hetero-patriarchal normative system. By the same token, our objective is to improve the position and human rights of the LGBTIQ community and to eliminate all forms of genderphobia and homo/bi/transphobia in our society.
Deve is LGBT and friendly Cultural Centre from Belgrade founded in 2000. Our work is based on questioning basic distinctive categories between people such as sex, gender, gender identity and sexual orientation. Through different experimental and research programs and socially engaged culture we try to emphasize positive sides of our existence. We are focused on developing of all life aspects and affirmation of LGBT persons.
We are engaged in heightening the level of consciousness and education in lesbian and gay community and in entire population by enclosing our individual authentic experiences through 3 programs: Communication, Culture and Education, more about our work on www.deve.org.yu
